Unlike most productions I do, I just designed this. The singing, from a mainly young cast, was extraordinary. My design had some compromise due to budget and the previous production being rather mammoth, but all the same we managed to get a great sense of scale on our stage.
This was of course, the Elton John/Tim Rice Aida - not the Verdi, sadly. Even so it was big and sounded wonderful.
