hi again barry,
just thought i'd pass by and give brief updates- i've been teaching stop-mo at morley college for the last term, and consequently learning exponentially due to teaching hungry, motivated adults- we spent a good while really examining 'Next', and later I came across the fan website where you and he deconstruct it- fascinating! It also taught us how little we really knew about Shakespeare, despite Penny playing Juliet, Miranda, Ofelia...and more...
I ordered your book for the college library, and am a few chapters in now- its competing with 'timing for animation', but despite big love for John Hallas, its currently winning- a really great read.
lately i've been moving into larger armature construction, and using latex and moulds for the first time- with pretty good success= and the happy prince has attracted some attention, elsewhere in the world...
i'd like to send you a copy, if you're still interested- i know it'll be far from the best thing you've ever seen animated, but i'd still appreciate your thoughts, advice in terms of upping my game next time- i'm trying to make changes across the whole process- and make something MUCH shorter next!
anyway, best wishes from a snowy lewisham
john
